Terms of Service

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms cover your use of tarantulacloud, including the website at tarantula.cloud, the dashboard, our uptime monitoring and the public status pages we host for you. tarantulacloud is run by [legal name of the operator] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Your account

You need an account to create a status page. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

One person or organisation per account. Do not create accounts in bulk or to get around plan limits.

2. The service

tarantulacloud lets you create a public status page on a subdomain of status.tarantula.cloud, add monitors that check your URLs on a schedule, and publish incidents.

The service is free while we build it. The free plan currently includes one status page, five monitors and checks every 60 seconds. We may change features and limits, and we will give reasonable notice before reducing what an existing account can do.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add: page names, descriptions, logos, monitor names and incident text. You give us permission to store, process and publicly display that content so we can run your status page.

Only upload logos and text you have the right to use. Subdomains are first come, first served, and we may reclaim one that is inactive, misleading or infringes someone else's trademark.

5. Public pages and branding

Status pages are public by design. Anything you put on them can be seen by anyone with the link, and may be indexed by search engines.

Pages on the free plan show a small tarantulacloud mark. Please do not hide or remove it.

6. No guarantees

Monitoring can be wrong. Network problems on our side or in between can cause false alarms, and short outages can be missed between checks. tarantulacloud tells you what we observed; it does not guarantee that your service is up or down.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the service. While the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending things

You can delete your status page at any time from the dashboard, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or if we shut the service down, and we will try to give notice where we reasonably can.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product grows. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country / state], and disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

11. Contact
